This 2X-short shank hook is unique for a dry fly hook. It features an offset bend (reversed) for better hook ups. The 2X-short shank is perfect for flies like the elk hair caddis by Al Troth, as well as egg patterns, spiders, tricos, and extended body dry flies. In larger sizes this is prized as a stinger / tube fly hook.

Same as Daiichi 2451 except made of stainless steel wire. Daiichi does not chemically sharpen these hooks because the process does not work favorably with this alloy. These hooks have ground needlepoints. They will not rust in salt or brackish waters.
